
The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is seeking an Assistant Attorney General for an opening in our Taxation Section. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of practice experience, as well as excellent oral, written, and client communication skills. Attorneys in the Taxation Section represent the Tax Commissioner of Ohio in evidentiary hearings conducted by the Board of Tax Appeals, and in direct appeals taken from that tribunal to the Ohio Supreme Court and courts of appeal throughout Ohio. The successful candidate will have developed legal writing and trial advocacy skills, and experience or interest in appellate advocacy. Previous tax experience is not required. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule, however, there may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The headquarter location is 30 E. Broad St, Columbus Ohio. Minimal travel and varied work hours may be necessary at times.
Salary- Commensurate with experience
Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 41705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code.
