Position Description
The Faculty Legal Administrative Assistant serves as an essential part of Seattle University School of Law faculty support team by providing administrative support for the adjunct faculty, career faculty, including providing reception/administrative support for the faculty office area. Additionally, the position provides administrative support for the Access to Justice Institute, Center for Civil Rights, and Northwest Center for Indigenous Law. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Administration. The essential duties of this position include: Reception: Greet and direct students and community members, including adjunct faculty. Developing a warm, welcoming and hospitable presence at the front desk is a key part of fostering a sense of community and service. Faculty/Program Administrative Support: Support Faculty in their teaching, academic, research and program needs. Coordination of Classroom and Event Needs: Serve as the liaison between the Faculty and the School of Law Event/Technology offices for all academic events and trainings. Communications: Review and update Faculty content of the website for accuracy (solicit updates from faculty/staff each term). Academic Support Team: As a member of the academic support team, support and be a positive colleague and team member with other faculty support staff and staff in the School of Law.

Compensation at a Glance
Salary Range: $43,000- $46,000
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.
