Polsinelli, PC has a position available for an entry level full-time Legal Administrative Assistant (Legal Secretary) in their Kansas City Office, supporting the Real Estate practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for recent or upcoming college graduates. Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including the expertise of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Real estate experience preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as being proficient with team building relationships with practice group members, including leadership and staff.
  • Must be able to work in a demanding environment.
  • Manage files, open new matters as requested by attorneys and maintain all relevant document inclusions for the files.
  • Responsible for a broad variety of administrative tasks, including strong organizational skills; capacity to adapt to various department needs, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and seamlessly perform each with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Responsible for the preparation of real estate documents and closing binders.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Coordinating and tracking continuing legal education requirements for attorneys.
  • Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.

Qualified candidates must possess strong initiative, demonstrate an ability to anticipate needs, resolve issues/problems independently, and manage multiple projects/tasks at a time. Other essential requirements for this position include the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to develop rapport with co-workers as well as clients; maintain strong working relationships; exhibit meticulous attention to detail; manage confidential and sensitive information; and possess strong proofreading and typing skills.
