Position Summary
The Associate Legal Counsel is responsible for conducting legal research on insurance laws, regulations, and precedents and providing valuable insights to support the resolution of legal issues. The role involves building productive relationships, contributing to the resolution of legal matters, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. They apply company policies and procedures, collaborate with experienced team professionals, and continuously develop expertise in the field of legal counsel.What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
• Offer accurate and timely legal advice to executives on various topics (e.g., labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance).
• Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies.
• Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
• Research and evaluate risk factors related to business decisions and operations.
• Apply effective risk management techniques and proactively advise on potential legal issues.
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities) to build trust.
• Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Handle complex matters involving multiple stakeholders and forces.
Work Experience and Education:
· Law degree with 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
· License to practice law in at least one state.
Licenses & Certifications:
· Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Contract Manager (CCM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred

The target salary range for this position is $103,000.00 - $128,750.00 annually.The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
