We are searching for a Corporate Counsel to lead our Legal & Compliance Team.

As a Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing legal risks, particularly with commercial and supplier contracts, and supporting various business functions across the company.
How will you impact our organization as a Corporate Counsel on a daily basis?
- Oversee customer and supplier contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
- Manage corporate governance, ensuring accurate maintenance of corporate records and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and manage external legal services to ensure efficient, high-quality support.
- Advise on legal matters encountered in the ordinary course of business.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage litigation and dispute resolution.
- Support mergers and acquisitions by providing legal advice and conducting diligence.
Leadership and Communication Skills:
- Lead by example, delivering results that meet or exceed established goals, while fostering urgency and accountability in problem-solving and achieving business priorities.
- Cultivate an environment that values initiative and recognizes achievements, driving continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively to leverage team strengths and maximize potential.
- Provide vision and leadership aligned with company goals, motivating and guiding the team toward shared objectives.
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing Legal & Compliance team.
- Communicate complex legal concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders, including senior management.
- Foster a collaborative environment to align legal strategies with business goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience managing litigation and dispute resolution.
- Familiarity with intellectual property law and protection.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including legal due diligence.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Travel Expectations:
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
