Real Estate Attorney

Location: Melbourne, FL; Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our Ft. Lauderdale office. This role is a full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. position. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate transactions and related legal matters, with additional exposure to estate planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Real estate transactions — Draft, review, and negotiate residential and commercial real estate contracts, leases, closing documents, and related instruments

  • Title and closing work — Oversee title review, resolve title issues, and coordinate closings with lenders, agents, and clients

  • Prepare and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives

  • Advise clients on probate and trust administration matters

  • Provide guidance on asset protection and related planning strategies

  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear, proactive communication

  • Collaborate with paralegals and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow

  • Participate in community outreach and business development initiatives

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing

  • 4–10+ years of experience, ideally including real estate and estate planning

  • Ability to independently manage real estate files from contract to closing

  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal and client-communication skills

  • Familiarity with real estate, estate planning, or probate software platforms preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in trust administration or complex estate planning

  • Existing referral relationships in the South Florida market
