As a Legal Assistant, your primary responsibility is to support the legal team with various tasks related to law firm operations and client services. You will assist in managing legal documentation, conducting research, and ensuring the smooth operation of corporate legal matters while also addressing client inquiries and needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Legal Document Management
· Assist with contracts, agreements, and corporate filings.
· Maintain CRM
· Prepare and process legal forms and applications as required.
2. Of Counsel Network Management
· Conduct legal research on corporate regulations, statues, and case law to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy.
· Compile relevant data and information to provide informed recommendations to the legal team.
3. Client Services:
· Serve as a point of contact for clients, handling inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
· Coordinate client meetings, conference calls, and appointments, and manage attorney’s schedule accordingly.
4. Administrative Support:
· Assist attorneys in managing their calendars, appointments, and deadlines.
· Prepare and submit expense reports, track billable hours, and handle other administrative tasks as needed.
5. Communication and Correspondence:
· Draft and edit correspondence, emails, and legal memos on behalf of attorneys, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
· Manage incoming and outgoing communications for the legal department
· Other special projects and legal support duties, as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Proficiency in legal software, MS Office suite, and document management systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Understanding of confidentiality and ethical standards in the legal field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
