Job Summary:
The Legal Intern position supports legal and compliance activities within our semiconductor company. This position assists with contract review, legal research, compliance initiatives, and corporate legal matters. The role provides hands-on experience with corporate legal functions, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional business collaboration under the guidance of the Legal Department and in-house counsel.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Housekeeping (15%)
- Review public-facing legal materials posted on company website to ensure current and accurate versions
Legal Research & Compliance Support (25%):
- Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters
- Summarize case law, statutes, and regulatory guidance relevant to semiconductor industry
- Support analysis of legal issues and preparation of legal memoranda
- Assist with monitoring changes in relevant laws and regulations
- Support corporate compliance programs and policy development
Documentation & Administrative Support (40%):
- Organize and maintain legal files, databases, and document management systems
- Prepare summaries and presentations of legal matters for internal stakeholders
- Support corporate governance activities and board meeting preparation
- Maintain compliance tracking systems and audit documentation
- Update and organize legal department resources and materials
Intellectual Property & Regulatory Support (20%):
- Assist with intellectual property portfolio management and trademark maintenance
- Support regulatory filings and documentation requirements
- Help with patent and trademark application tracking
- Participate in IP-related research and analysis
- Support export compliance and trade regulation matters
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a 4th year undergraduate student in Legal Studies, Pre-Law, Business Law, or related field; OR
- Currently enrolled in law school (1L, 2L, or 3L); OR
- Recent graduate with Bachelor's degree in related field considering law school
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to analyze complex documents and identify key issues
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Team-oriented with collaborative mindset
- Proactive and eager to learn corporate legal practice

There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
