The Sonoco internship program provides first and second year law students with hands-on experience in a global legal department. Interns will gain valuable exposure to various aspects of corporate law, including corporate governance, compliance, contracts, intellectual property, employment, and environmental law. Under the mentorship of experienced attorneys and staff, interns will engage in daily activities and special projects, developing their skills and knowledge in a dynamic environment.
The location of this internship will be at our corporate headquarters in Hartsville, SC.
All internships last approximately 12 weeks. Your start/end date can vary based on your final exam schedule and relocation needs. Internships are paid, and relocation assistance is provided. We also provide a housing and activity allowance, and Sonoco sponsored activities with other interns and new Emerging Leaders Associates.
To become an intern with Sonoco, there are a few key things you’ll need to have:
- Proficient in legal research methodologies
- Self-starter with excellent organizational, communication and process skills with the ability to multi-task and follow through on numerous projects.
- Honesty, integrity, professionalism and confidentiality are a must.
- Available Summer 2025 (10 weeks/ 30 hours per week)
