Williams Parker, the region's largest and oldest law firm founded in 1925, is seeking a preeminent Senior Litigation Attorney with significant trial experience to join our growing team in Sarasota, Florida. We are particularly interested in attorneys who focus on trust & estate litigationcommercial litigation (with or without bankruptcy), and construction litigation. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Florida and bring a portable book of business in one or more of these areas.

Our litigation practice includes trusts and estates, business, employment, real estate, construction, and bankruptcy, as well as various other matters. Williams Parker’s attorneys understand what is at stake and relentlessly seek the most satisfactory outcomes for their clients.

Requirements
  • Education: Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Member of The Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Experience: Significant trial experience is required, including first-chair jury trial work and a proven track record of success across a broad spectrum of legal matters. Experience in trust & estate litigation, commercial litigation (with or without bankruptcy), and construction litigation is highly preferred. Please include a document with your resume submission which details your jury trial experience and wins, noting which you served as first chair.
  • Client Service & Relationship Building: Demonstrates a commitment to client service excellence in a fast-paced, collegial, and engaging environment. Builds strong relationships with clients, colleagues, investigators, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Communicates complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively in both writing and speech. Skilled in drafting, negotiating, and interpreting legal documents, and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Shows initiative, reliability, and a drive for results. Anticipates legal challenges, organizes discovery materials, and prepares thoughtful trial presentations.
  • Business Development & Initiative: Brings enthusiasm and self-motivation to generate new opportunities and contribute to the firm’s growth, regardless of whether a portable book of business is present.
  • Leadership & Time Management: Maintains a professional courtroom presence, works independently under tight timelines, and manages multiple priorities with precision and accountability.
