Job Title: IT Associate

 

Position Summary:

 

Magna Legal Services is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Technical Support Associate to join our Technical Support team. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, accessibility, and reliability of Magna's internal and external technology platforms. The ideal candidate will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and serve as a frontline liaison between our users and our managed service provider.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive, courteous, and professional support to internal staff and external clients via phone, email, and support ticket systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
    • Proprietary applications (e.g., ReporterBase9, medical record platforms)
    • User account access, configurations, and permissions
    • Common business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Zoom)
    • Workstation hardware, printers, and peripherals
  • Log all support activity accurately in our ticketing system, escalate as necessary.
  • Collaborate with developers and IT infrastructure teams to identify patterns and root causes of recurring issues.
  • Assist with onboarding of new hires, including device setup and access provisioning.
  • Document technical issues and solutions to expand the internal knowledge base.
  • Monitor system alerts and health checks, reporting issues proactively.
  • Participate in occasional off-hours support coverage as needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical support, help desk, or IT support role.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting legal technology platforms or working in a professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk), and ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, JIRA).
  • Exposure to basic networking concepts (VPN, DNS, firewalls).
  • Experience supporting or working alongside Investigation Services teams is a plus.
  • Comfort working with hybrid or remote teams.

 

Compensation: USD $50,000 - $60,000 per year.

 

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
