We are seeking a Junior Paralegal to support our nationally-recognized practice. This position is located in our New York office.
The ideal Junior Paralegal candidate is a college graduate (bachelor’s or associate’s degree) with a strong interest in the legal profession who is interested in long-term employment; however, we would consider a candidate who would commit to a shorter period (but not less than two years).
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary with the ability to interact professionally with staff, attorneys, paralegals, clients and vendors
The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as with a team, have an acute attention to detail and be able to multi-task and prioritize while working in a deadline-driven environment.
The paralegal will assist partners with all aspects of a busy financial transaction practice. Duties include drafting of documents, coordinating closings, assembly of transcripts of proceedings and preparation of letters and forms. Significant attorney and client contact. The highly motivated legal assistant will also be involved in research. The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $56,000 to $65,000 per year. Actual salary will depend upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, job-related skills, and qualifications.
