Real Estate Paralegal

We continue to experience significant growth and require the assistance of a Real Estate Paralegal to directly support a Partner in our Real Estate Department. This Paralegal can join us in our Mount Kisco office. 
 
Responsibilities would include but not be limited to: 

  • Assist with legal research  

  • Draft legal documents 

  • Handle discovery demands and responses 

  • Calendar meetings, court appearances, depositions, deadlines 

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff and other third parties as necessary 

  • E-filing for state and federal courts 

  • Oversee service of process 

  • Directly support Real Estate Partner with paralegal, legal assistant and executive assistant responsibilities 

  • Act as liaison between Real Estate Department partner and department associates 

  • Act as liaison between Real Estate Department partner and attorneys in other practice areas within firm 

  • General administrative duties; filing and scanning; assemble litigation papers; maintain matter files in electronic systems 

Required: 

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a paralegal  

  • Bachelor's degree or higher 

  • This position is full-time in-office Mon-Fri. 

  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. 

  • Experience with e-filing, in-person filing, and procedural rules at downstate Surrogate’s Courts. 

  • Ability to problem-solve procedural and calendaring issues on the fly with minimal supervision.  

  • Experience with Clio, NetDocs, and HotDocs a strong plus. 

 
Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000
