The Opportunity
We're seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join one of our esteemed clients in their Springfield, MO office. This role will focus on supporting attorneys in the Real Estate, Development & Construction business unit. This is an excellent opportunity to handle complex litigation cases while working within a firm dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
What You'll Do
Lead with Purpose: Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation, including investigations, discovery, pleadings, depositions, and mediation.
Analyze and Innovate: Argue motions, participate in arbitrations, and develop legal strategies to deliver optimal results.
Collaborate for Success: Work on cases in state and federal courts, as well as administrative matters.
Deliver Excellence: Contribute to trials and arbitrations as a second chair and support high-impact legal outcomes.
What You Bring to the Table
Experience: 2-7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, preferably with exposure to state and federal courts, administrative matters, and arbitrations.
Education: JD with strong academic credentials.
Bar Admission: Active Missouri bar license or willingness to obtain one promptly.
Skills: Superb interpersonal, writing, and communication skills, with exceptional judgment and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Preferred Experience: Second-chair trial or arbitration experience is a plus.
Mindset: Proactive, entrepreneurial, and community-oriented, with a dedication to excellence.
Your Skillset
Litigation Expertise: Experience in all litigation phases, including depositions, motions, and mediations.
Legal Drafting: Proficiency in preparing pleadings and other litigation documents.
Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills for client and team interactions.
Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple complex projects.
