Description

The Legal Intern will assist the in-house legal team by providing support in various tasks, such as drafting and reviewing documents, preparing presentations, and offering legal insight. The Legal Intern will gain hands-on experience in corporate law, risk management, compliance, and operational matters while working closely with experienced in-house attorneys.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and internal memos.
  • Supports the legal team in managing corporate filings, maintaining company records, and ensuring compliance with internal policies
  • Helps monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the Company’s operations.
  • Participates in meetings with internal business teams to provide legal insights and risk assessments.
  • Assists with litigation management, including document review and legal correspondence.
  • Performs administrative legal tasks as needed, such as organizing case files and legal records
  • Assists with evaluating ways to improve operational aspects of internal Legal Department functions.
  • Assists with the preparation of legal department presentation materials across a wide range of legal topics. 
  • Participates in special projects and various other duties as assigned.
  • Provides status reports to supervising attorney on a regular basis.
  • Meets with team members and others as requested from time to time.

Qualifications / Experience 

  • Must be currently enrolled as a 1L or 2L law student with strong academic credentials.
  • Basic knowledge of corporate law, including but not limited to: contract law, employment law, securities laws, data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence
  • Strong analytical and legal writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle fast-paced/customer-focused environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong presentation skills.
