Job Description

Outstanding national law firm client is seeking an outstanding mid to senior-level associate to join our highly regarded privacy and cybersecurity litigation practice in our Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley offices. Ideal candidates should have 4-6 years of complex consumer class action experience with a focus on privacy, cybersecurity, and technology, preferably from a large law firm. In this position, you will focus on class action matters involving data breaches or purported violations of privacy statutes, and regulatory investigations involving privacy and cybersecurity issues.

All candidates should be well-versed in all areas of complex litigation including briefing dispositive motions, case management issues, fact and expert discovery, class certification, and must have comfort interacting directly with clients.  Experience with data breaches and privacy matters is strongly preferred. Strong research and writing skills, excellent academic credentials, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to excellence are required. Further, candidates should be excellent supervisors of both litigation associates and subject matter specialists.

A resume or CV is required for our application system. We also encourage you to include a cover letter to explain why you are interested in this position and a law school transcript (or the equivalent).  Candidates for lawyer opportunities in the U.S. must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member of the Bar in the United States.

Compensation for this role will be top-of-market, with an annualized salary range of $250,000 to $345,000, depending on the candidate’s overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary or an hours-based bonus, consistent with market practice. In addition, this position will be eligible for the firm’s fringe benefits as they currently exist.
