
Real Estate Associate
Practice Area: Commercial Real Estate & Lending
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: $310,000 to $390,000 (commensurate with experience)
A prestigious law firm with a strong presence in Chicago is seeking a highly motivated and experienced real estate associate to join its dynamic team. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of success in handling complex real estate transactions and a deep understanding of the legal and business aspects of the real estate industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of real estate matters, including:
- Acquisitions and Dispositions: Handling all aspects of real estate acquisitions and dispositions, including due diligence, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Real Estate Finance: Representing borrowers in real estate financing transactions, including drafting and negotiating loan documents and coordinating with lenders and other parties.
- Leasing: Negotiating and drafting commercial leases for a variety of property types, including retail, office, and industrial.
- Development: Assisting clients with real estate development projects, including land use and zoning issues, construction contracts, and environmental compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in real estate law, preferably at a large law firm.
- Bar Admission: Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.
- Skills: Excellent writing, legal research, and analytical skills. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Education: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Academic Background: Strong academic credentials.
