A dynamic and forward-thinking legal practice seeks a highly skilled Senior Counsel specializing in Executive Compensation and Corporate Governance. This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished attorney with a minimum of six years of significant experience to contribute to a sophisticated corporate practice. The position offers flexibility and can be based in our offices in Charlotte, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, or Seattle.
The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in executive and equity compensation matters, including commission and bonus structures for executive leadership, benefit application towards the firm as a whole, analysis of upcoming mergers & acquisitions to ensure alignment, has perhaps assisted in such a matter for Initial Public Offerings (IPO) on a domestic and global scale and when needed, negotiating severance packages, partnership agreements and their terminations and many other matters to do with fiduciary responsibilities and tax obligations for CEO's and their C-Suite teams. A thorough understanding of public company reporting obligations, relevant regulations, and prevailing market practices is essential.
This role involves close collaboration with seasoned legal professionals who are committed to providing the necessary resources for a tenured associate attorney to build out their own book of business and growth with the company. This role will eventually be entrusted with increasing levels of responsibility and direct client interaction. Compensation: $270,000 to $400,000 (base), which will be determined and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and unique skill sets.
