Location: Holiday Corporate Office | Utah Reports to: Chief Information Officer

Who We Are

Holiday Oil is a trusted, family-owned business serving Utah communities for over 60 years. As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our executive leadership team.

What You'll Do

As General Counsel, you'll provide guidance and leadership on a wide range of legal matters that impact our business. This includes:

• Advising executives and senior leaders on legal rights, obligations, and risk.
• Leading and overseeing all legal matters including contracts, M&A, partnerships, and litigation.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and key agreements.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Representing the company in legal proceedings or managing outside counsel.
• Developing legal strategies to protect the company's interests.
• Advising on labor, employment, intellectual property, privacy, and real estate matters.
• Serving as corporate secretary and advising the Board on governance issues.

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the Utah State Bar (or eligible to practice in Utah).
• 8-15 years of legal experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house counsel experience.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams and outside counsel.
• Excellent judgement with the ability to navigate complex legal and business issues.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the convenience store, fuel, or real estate industry.
• Background in corporate governance and compliance.
• Experience managing litigation or regulatory investigations.
