The Accounting Officer (Spec) will perform the professional accounting duties of average difficulty with the first journey-person level of the Accounting Officer series for the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Fiscal Services (OFS), Accounting Office. The incumbent oversees various program billing accounts and contracts. On a monthly basis, the incumbent will organize, review and prepares necessary documents in preparation of billing program accounts and contracts. The Accounting Officer (Spec) acts as a DOJ resource to provide assistance to departmental staff and outside client agencies. The Accounting Officer (Spec) will verify documents for posting accuracy, correctness, and legality within specific provisions of the law to allow for collection measure from various departments, local governments and other entities.

Salary- $5,266 - $6,591/month
