
Legal Assistant – Litigation

We are seeking a seasoned and highly organized Legal Assistant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to support a group of talented attorneys who litigate matters that shape industries, resolve business-critical conflicts, and appear in courts and arbitration forums across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys in a fast-paced commercial litigation practice through trial and appeal
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, motions, and memoranda
- Coordinate and manage court filings (state and federal, including e-filing), tracking deadlines, and managing case dockets
- Coordinate litigation calendars, manage docketing deadlines, and support case strategy execution
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, meetings arbitrations, mediations, hearings, client meetings, and travel
- Organize electronic and paper case files, trial notebooks, and discovery
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and logistics
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of legal assistant experience, with strong preference for litigation practice experience
- Familiarity with court rules and filing procedures, including electronic filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF, PACER)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and litigation management software
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in handling sensitive and confidential matters
- Calm under pressure, proactive, and solutions-oriented
- Self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial litigation, arbitration, or trial support
- Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments, Relativity, Everlaw, etc.)
