The Opportunity:

We are looking for an exceptional Commercial Transactions Attorney, one who can excel in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and has an exceptional level of emotional intelligence. This candidate should have a strong grasp of contract law, commercial agreements, and contract negotiations. We're interested in agile individuals with critical thinking skills, business acumen, and deep knowledge of legal issues relevant to commercial transactions.

Key Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to create, plan, and execute projects successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills; capable of interfacing and communicating effectively with all levels of Tenor personnel.
  • Experience in negotiation techniques, transactional analysis, contract law, IP, commercial agreements, and workload/project management.
  • Approximately 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a focus on commercial matters.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and membership in  good standinng with a state bar.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college.
  • Must be in good standing with the State Bar and current on individual state Continuing Legal Education requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with third parties, and evaluating third-party agreement templates against Tenor standards.
  • Providing practical advice and developing solutions while effectively managing legal and business considerations.
  • Working collaboratively with internal clients to develop strategies to address identified issues.
  • Advising client engagement teams and relevant leaders on key legal risks, including the legal and regulatory issues that need to be addressed early in the process.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams and legal colleagues to provide a comprehensive risk assessment and risk management.
  • Interpreting and explaining contract terms and conditions for internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Confirming that contracts are compliant with company policies protective of company's intellectual property.
  • Providing input and feedback concerning contracting procedures.
  • Managing workflow effectively, including multiple projects, in a proactive and highly responsive manner.
Compensation: $175,000 - $225,000+
