Position: Registered Patent Attorney

Position Summary: Woods Oviatt Gilman, LLP is looking for a Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent to assist in preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering
- 4+ years' experience in patent application drafting and prosecution
- Must be admitted to practice before the USPTO
- Perform prior art searches and draft opinions on patentability and clearance
- Interface with inventors, engineers, and other client stakeholders
- Support internal teams on various intellectual property matters
- Must have superior writing skills and strong oral communication skills
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong skills with MS Office and expertise with computer-assisted legal resources
- Maintains high standards of performance
- Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility
- Must have a professional, cooperative, positive, and flexible attitude
- Must exhibit well-developed interpersonal and client relation skills

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the potential compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skill set.
