The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in legal administrative support and demonstrate a high level of professionalism, discretion, and initiative.Key Responsibilities:
Legal & Administrative Support:
Manage and maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, depositions, and court appearances
Perform clerical and administrative duties including answering phones, client intake, processing mail, and coordinating travel
Draft, format, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and reports with a high level of accuracy
Litigation Support:
Assist in trial preparation, including organizing case files, exhibits, and subpoenas
Coordinate and monitor deadlines and court dates to ensure timely filings and responses
Handle e-filing and court submissions in compliance with local and state rules
Client & Case Management:
Serve as a point of contact for clients, attorneys, and court personnel
Maintain confidentiality of all client and case information in accordance with legal and ethical standards
Support physician-related legal tasks and facilitate effective attorney communication
Document & Billing Management:
Maintain accurate records of case-related documents, correspondence, and billing entries
Assist with time tracking, billing, and invoicing in accordance with firm protocols
Manage office supplies and contribute to the efficiency of day-to-day office operations
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a legal assistant or similar administrative role
Familiarity with trial preparation, legal procedures, and court systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal
Strong organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ethical integrity
Prior experience supporting medical/legal professionals is a plus
