Job Summary:The Strategy & Planning Analyst supports the development and execution of strategic initiatives through data analysis, market research, and cross-functional collaboration. This role plays a key part in driving business insights and operational improvements while working under minimal supervision.Responsibilities:

The Strategy & Planning Analyst position is a key strategic support role within the Business Solutions team, designed for a data-savvy, analytical thinker who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This position plays an instrumental part in advancing the organization’s long-term objectives by helping to design, implement, and evaluate strategic initiatives that drive growth, operational efficiency, and business transformation. Through a combination of critical thinking, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, this role supports leadership in making informed decisions that directly impact organizational performance.

This position is responsible for gathering, synthesizing, and interpreting complex business and market data to help define strategic priorities and assess progress against key performance indicators. The Strategy & Planning Analyst works closely with senior leaders and functional partners across departments, including Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Sales, and Operations to ensure that strategic efforts are grounded in data-driven insights and aligned with enterprise goals. This role supports both short-term initiatives and long-range planning by providing market research, competitive intelligence, performance reporting, and forecasting support.

In addition, this role plays an important part in supporting strategic project execution. The Strategy & Planning Analyst assists in the coordination of key business initiatives by managing timelines, tracking deliverables, preparing summary reports, and maintaining performance dashboards. This position is expected to proactively identify trends and potential obstacles, offer forward-looking insights, and support contingency planning to improve the execution and impact of strategic programs.

This role also leverages emerging tools and technologies including artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics platforms to enhance reporting accuracy, streamline business intelligence processes, and uncover deeper insights that can shape decision-making. By combining technology with business acumen, this position adds measurable value to the organization’s ability to remain agile and future-focused in a competitive landscape.

Performance Outcomes

Strategic Planning & Analysis

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of strategic plans, sales production goals, and expense budgets.
  • Leverage data and insights to anticipate trends and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Identify challenges and generate innovative, solutions-oriented alternatives.

Data & Market Insights

  • Conduct market and competitor research to support business strategy.
  • Analyze internal and external datasets to identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Translate findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to track strategic progress.
  • Support leadership reporting with data-driven presentations, summaries, and visual storytelling.
  • Use AI tools to streamline reporting processes and uncover new insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Support

  • Work closely with partners in Analytics, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to translate business needs into strategic insights.
  • Support the planning and execution of key initiatives, including tracking timelines and deliverables.
  • Assist in stakeholder communications and coordination of cross-functional efforts.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field required
  • 1–3 years of experience in a strategy, business analysis, or consulting role required
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the employee benefits or insurance industry preferred.
  • Experience with SQL or VBA is a plus.
  • Curious, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborative and team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive problem solver who takes initiative without waiting for direction.
