Job Description

Duties

If selected for this position, you will serve as an Administrative Services Specialist in the well-respected Administrative Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho. Duties include providing administrative services in two or more program areas, performing a variety of assignments involving aspects of the administrative management of the USAO, and serving as a point of contact for program and/or administrative issues and requests.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties in one or more of the following programs: budget, human resources, and facilities management.
  • Maintain and administer a variety of budget and financial management activities.
  • Monitor and track obligations and expenditures.
  • Perform human resources management duties which include new employee orientation, employee benefits, and performance management.
  • Ensure that personnel, records, and the facility are safe and in full conformance with applicable security requirement.
  • Oversee personnel security program for employees and contractors.
  • Assist with questions related to travel arrangements and travel regulations.

Salary
  • $59,966 - $77,955/year
Conditions of Employment
  • You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation

Qualifications

GS-9: To be eligible at the GS-9 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience.

Specialized Experience: Must possess at least one full year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in Federal service or private sector. Specialized experience is defined as providing guidance on records management; researching and/or identifying employee benefit-related questions; assisting with reviewing internal operating procedures; reviewing and/or administering budget activities; and reviewing travel obligations and/or expenditures.
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management) OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
OR
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year.
