Job Description

This position is located in the DEA, Rocky Mountain Field Division.

Duties

This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as the Senior Mission Support Specialist and provides overall planning, support, and administration of programs and oversight of the business operations.

As a your typical work assignments may include:

  • Completes work and studies related to the business operations functions: administrative support, human resource support, internal control support, logistics support to include fleet, personal property (accountable and nonaccountable) and supply management, quality assurance, Records Management, and Task Force Management.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for incoming taskings, processing personnel actions, awards, performance management, and Table of Organization (T/O) requests.
  • Plans and conducts special projects and studies to recommend improvements to business operations efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Makes frequent interpretations and adaptations of guidelines and uses considerable
    judgment in applying to individual situations, ensuring compliance with established policies.

Salary
  • $114,970 - $149,465/year

Qualifications Applicants must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement.

Applicants applying for the GS-13 must meet one of the following requirements:

A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-12 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Drafting administrative documents for management such as reports, briefings, and correspondence; 2) Conducting research to provide guidance to staff on administrative matters; 3) Providing direct support to management regarding administrative functions, human resources, logistics, internal controls, records and supply management, and task force officer; 4) Interpreting and executing internal guidance's and processes, identifying potential gaps and providing solutions for management implementation.
