Job Summary:


The Associate RFE Attorney is responsible for handling complex immigration matters, particularly responding to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and other challenges issued by immigration authorities. This role requires a strong understanding of immigration law, legal research, and analytical skills to craft compelling and well-supported legal arguments.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing RFEs and NOIDs, conducting in-depth legal research, drafting detailed responses and legal memoranda, and collaborating with case managers and clients to gather necessary documentation. The attorney must ensure compliance with immigration regulations, meet critical deadlines, and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze RFEs, NOIDs, and denials from USCIS and other immigration agencies.
  • Draft well-structured and compelling RFE and NOID responses, affidavits, legal memoranda, and supporting documents.
  • Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and clients to gather necessary evidence and supporting materials.
  • Advise clients on legal options and case strategies in response to RFEs and other immigration challenges.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to strengthen case arguments and ensure compliance with immigration regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior legal staff and paralegals in case preparation and submission procedures.
  • Manage multiple case deadlines and ensure timely submission of responses.
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration policies, regulations, and adjudication trends.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Master of Laws (LLM) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in good standing in any U.S. state.
  • 2-5 years of attorney experience in general immigration law, with specific expertise in:
    • Family and humanitarian-based petitions.
    • Asylum and removal defense.
    • Immigration
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability with work schedules.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Advanced computer skills and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with  immigration cases (T-visas, U-visas and VAWA).
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of case management systems and immigration filing procedures.

Schedule: Flexible hours, including weekends and off-hours availability as needed.
Location: In-office position. Miami Beach or Waterford
