Position Summary:

As a Legal Assistant (Core Services Specialist) on our Core Services team, you will provide strategic administrative support to Ellis Porter's Attorneys and Case Managers by managing activities that streamline the delivery of our legal services and the coordination of new client leads.


What you will be doing:

  • Support legal mail processing and data entry.
  • Scan and organize case-related government correspondence (including, receipt notices, RFE notices and approval notices).
  • Enter data from case-related government correspondence (such as receipt numbers, status expiration dates) into Ellis Porter’s immigration case management system and verify accuracy.
  • Support application preparation and filing.
  • Compile, print, copy, scan, and coordinate FedEx shipping for immigration application packages.
  • Assist with special projects, data analysis, and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Comfortable using a variety of technology and software platforms to perform daily responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Service-oriented mindset and take pride in providing an “above and beyond” level of support to fellow Ellis Porter team members.
  • Capable of identifying opportunities to further streamline Core Services processes and bringing process improvement ideas to managers.
