To help us fuel accelerated growth, we are looking for an experienced Paralegal based in the Paysafe Jacksonville, FL office to join our quickly growing company and create impact in our SEC dealings and publicly traded efforts. The Corporate Paralegal is responsible for performing a variety of legal support functions in the areas of SEC and stock exchange rules and regulations and contract related support. The ideal candidate will bring publicly traded company experience in a related role and public company knowledge, along with a strong desire to build and make an impact in a high growth and unstructured environment.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Corporate oversight and governance
- Manage state gaming licenses and ongoing regulatory obligations.
- Filing of new applications, renewals, change notices, other filing obligations
- Organization of licensure and records for retention
- Renewing and maintaining such company licensing and registrations
- Assisting with paperwork needed by regulatory bodies.
- Drafting, filing and managing various business entity documents with government agencies.
- Drafting of standard form legal contracts, correspondence and other documents.
- Performing routine updates to legal templates and other company files.
- Maintaining contract repository and other legal databases.
- Performing legal research
- Maintaining currency in laws and regulations relating to US and Canadian iGaming.
- Working with outside counsel and agents
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; will also consider relevant experience in lieu of the degree
- Paralegal Certification is considered a plus
- 3+ years of Paralegal support experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high growth, fast-paced team environment
- Proficient in advising and interacting with senior executives and business unit leaders
- Ability to work closely with, facilitate interactions within, and influence large cross-functional teams (including representatives from legal, tax, finance, regulatory, compliance, operations, human resources, and communications)
- Agility in managing multiple projects in an efficient and timely manner
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail
- Superior drafting and organizational skills
