WHO ARE WE?


Amaro Law Firm is an injury law firm based in Houston, Texas, that was founded in 2005 and has offices hubs nationwide. The firm represents individuals involved in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, such as truck wrecks, car wrecks, and work accidents. They exclusively work with parties that have been wronged or injured by another party. The firm has a strong culture of serving others and giving back to the community. They specialize in single-event personal injury claims, including 18-wheeler crashes, wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, car crashes, maritime/offshore accidents, refinery explosions/fires, and construction/work injuries.

We are looking for a legal assistant to assist with a specific case. The role and responsibility of the legal assistant is to maximize the department's efficiency by allowing the attorneys to focus on those jobs only they can do. Our firm’s success depends on you being proactive and managing time accordingly with all administrative duties and tasks of a legal assistant.


Responsibilities:

  • Moderate town hall client and potential new client meetings with counsel via Zoom.
  • Assist Paralegals/Attorneys in maintaining client contacts regularly within guidelines set by the firm.
  • Client calls are returned in a timely fashion according to ALF’s Service Standards.
  • Communication may be verbal or via email for this docket.
  • Communicate and reach out to the handling paralegal and attorney when a client or potential new client is emailing or calling with a new question or inquiry
  • Data Management – ensuring all data is current on all tabs in Needles. 
  • Legal assistants should also review documentation to ensure all required information is properly filled out.
  • File review - Legal assistant should cross reference files and overview if any client documentation, correspondence, or attorney communication is missing from the file.


Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and logic skills.
  • Excellent Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft 365).
  • Familiarity with legal databases, preferably Needles.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform on deadline.
  • Team player.
