Duties Assists Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Chief of Health Information with formal Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR) project management to include detailed planning for BOP-wide implementation, database maintenance and management of access to BEMR. Responsible for assisting with design, modification, and enhancement of BEMR programs. Participates in clinical advisory groups to provide broad-based input into the design of clinical information system (template notes, clinical reminders, etc.) and engage patient care providers with varying roles including physicians, mid-level practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, dentist, ancillary department personnel, and medical records professionals to contribute to the development and use of the clinical information system. Analyzes all areas of BEMR and ensure the integrity of the stored data through identification of problem areas and recommending corrective solutions or modifications to improve program efficiency. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis. Salary- $88,621 - $137,000/year
