As a Legal Assistant 2, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing a variety of legal documents and providing legal support to the staff and attorneys within the Office of Chief Counsel. This professional engages in the research of existing policies, procedures, and legal precedents pertaining to various legal issues including, but not limited to, licensing and evidence. You will also search case file contents to retrieve hard-to-locate documents, forms, and records when the document cannot be located using the normal method of file organization and must be examined for probable locations based on secondary indexing procedures. This position affords the opportunity to assist with preparing recommendations to the board for licensees requesting special permission to sell non-liquor related items, and drafting subsequent notification letters to the licensees regarding the board’s decision.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work hours are negotiable.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per week, with one day per week in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Legal Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- Four years of responsible clerical, investigative or enforcement work including one year of legal clerical support experience;or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
