
Job Title: Fundraising Coordinator
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Reports To: Director of Development and Deputy Director of Community Engagement
Compensation: $23.00 - $38.00 Hourly, Depending on Experience
Inland Counties Legal Services is immediately seeking a Fundraising Coordinator. As a fundraising coordinator, you will collaborate with ICLS team members to identify fundraising strategies, plan and implement fundraising campaigns, and steward donors. This position will be supported and supervised by ICLS’s Development Director with significant involvement from the Deputy Director of Community Engagement. Some fundraising experience is preferred but not required.
As our fundraising coordinator, you get to
- Assist the Director of Development with creating responsive fundraising campaigns in support of organizational fundraising goals and monitor their effectiveness through evaluation and reporting back to leadership.
- Attend events in the community to identify individuals, corporations, and foundations who are good prospects for ICLS. Strategize with Director of Development about next steps.
- Help to create unique and donor-driven stewardship opportunities to express gratitude.
- Work with Community Engagement team members to design and implement donor cultivation events to engage and activate potential donors.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of fundraising at ICLS by providing input and suggestions to improve outcomes.
- Stay up to date on the latest fundraising trends by participating in training and learning opportunities throughout the year.
- Perform essential administrative tasks to support donation process
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years working in a non-profit setting; exposure to direct donor or stakeholder engagement experience preferred but not required.
- Enthusiasm and desire to learn about fundraising strategies and processes.
- Ability to “go with the flow” and practice resiliency when challenges arise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Superior time management and project management skills.
- Demonstrated interest and commitment to issues impacting those experiencing poverty and systemic discrimination.
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to community events in ICLS's service area
- Ability to participate in events outside of regular work hours
- Ability to frequently work in physical office and community locations as required. It is anticipated that this could be more than once per week.
