Job Description:
- Litigation Paralegal: Manage litigation cases in family law, probate, and guardianship and conservatorship including deadlines, client relationships, and case progression.
- Task Master: Keep attorneys on track with task prioritization and managing upcoming deadlines by initiating requests to attorneys.
- Excellent Customer Service: Build strong client relationships by keeping the client informed with regular contact.
- Calendaring Guru: Maintain case files, including calendars with deadlines, and handle document management
- Leader: Lead and support legal assistants.
- Hearing Logistics Facilitator: Assist in trial preparation by preparing witnesses and exhibits. Manage witnesses with testimony logistics including facilitating timing, location, and contact information.
- Friend of Technology: Embrace technology for efficiency and high-quality customer service including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Clio
- Attention to Detail: Manage firm documents including consistency and accuracy of forms and pleadings.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of paralegal experience in any area of law.
- ABA-approved paralegal certification, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
- Ownership of cases with confidence to approach attorneys to meet deadlines ahead of time.
- Master of prioritization.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Whiz at Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and legal database software.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree.
- Spanish-speaking.
