
Good Greek Moving and Storage is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized In-House Paralegal to support our legal and compliance needs across multiple areas of the business. The ideal candidate will assist with contract review, claims management, regulatory compliance, legal research, and internal documentation. This position is vital in ensuring legal operations run smoothly and in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and organize a variety of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Assist with the investigation, transactions, contracts, documentation, and resolution of customer claims and legal disputes.
- Assist with all business contracts, forms and agreements are in compliance with applicable laws, protecting the Company's interests, and minimizing legal risks.
Manage legal files and maintain comprehensive and confidential recordkeeping systems.
Coordinate with counsel on ongoing litigation or external legal matters.
Conduct legal research and summarize findings for internal review.
Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws impacting the company and our industry
Assist in overseeing and engage the claims process, including negotiating, facilitating and drafting settlement agreements
Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations specific to the moving and transportation industry.
Perform legal research on various issues in support of Company’s interests and its business dealings
Support the franchise legal documentation process, including FDD compliance and franchise agreements.
Assist HR with employment law matters such as disciplinary documentation, policy enforcement, and legal correspondence.
Track deadlines for legal filings, renewals, and regulatory obligations.
Handle internal requests for legal information or clarification.
Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for management or legal teams.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role, preferably in-house or in a corporate legal department.
Strong understanding of contract law, civil litigation, and regulatory compliance.
Experience in transportation, logistics, or franchising industries is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
