Job Description

  Dinsmore is seeking a Commercial Finance Paralegal to join our Commercial Finance practice group at our Indianapolis, IN location. The ideal candidate will support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment handling a wide variety of commercial lending transactions, including HUD-insured (HUD) loans, conventional loans, and other complex secured lending matters. Responsibilities Preparing, reviewing, and managing documentation related to HUD and conventional loan transactions Reviewing and analyzing due diligence materials including corporate documents, organizational charts, and UCC searches Drafting loan closing checklists, certificates, resolutions, closing instructions, and ancillary loan documents Coordinating with lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel to ensure timely and efficient closings Reviewing title commitments, surveys, and exception documents, and preparing title and survey summaries Reviewing corporate documents and organizational documents Preparing and organizing closing binders and post-closing documentation Conducting UCC filings and maintaining thorough records of all filings and documents Proofreading and formatting legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance Supporting attorneys with ongoing transaction management, from term sheet to closing Performing legal due diligence and managing closing checklists under attorney supervision Maintaining and tracking closing calendars and deliverables   Requirements Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant experience 5 years of experience in commercial finance or real estate transactions Ability to produce high-quality, billable work with exceptional attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Professionalism, discretion, and ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, and outside parties Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively under deadlines Commitment to excellence, responsiveness, and client service
