(Job Summary)
The Real Estate Paralegal will play a key role in supporting legal operations across multiple practice areas, including real estate acquisition and development, corporate governance, financing, intellectual property, and records management. This role offers the opportunity to actively shape and expand the position, contributing to process improvements and legal efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with attorneys, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure legal accuracy, compliance, and smooth project execution.
What You Do:
(Duties/Responsibilities)
- Support attorneys by preparing, reviewing, summarizing, and finalizing legal documents with meticulous attention to detail.
- Review title and survey materials and coordinate with title companies to resolve issues and ensure timely and accurate completion of real estate transactions.
- Conduct due diligence for real estate assets, including title and survey analysis, and prepare corresponding memoranda summarizing findings and key issues.
- Coordinate and manage legal aspects of real estate acquisitions and financings, including document tracking, execution, and closing logistics.
- Research and analyze legal and regulatory resources, including corporate codes, statutes, rules, and precedent decisions.
- Assist with corporate governance matters, intellectual property filings, and other general legal department functions.
- Manage document organization and filing systems, ensuring timely delivery and accurate interpretation of legal documents.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of legal support functions.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive legal and business information.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support legal and business operations.

What You Bring to the Table:
(Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) or Paralegal Certificate preferred; Notary Public designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal support experience, preferably in real estate or corporate law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, Excel, and Word; experience with WorkSite or similar document management systems is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and follow-through.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills; capable of independently managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Collaborative team player who also works well independently and takes initiative.
