Litigation Support
- Prepare, draft, and revise correspondence; legal documents.
- E‑filing of pleadings in state and federal courts.
- Maintain case calendars including court deadlines, hearing dates, depositions, and attorney schedules.
Case Management
- Organize, index, and maintain electronic case files.
- Track litigation timelines, discovery deadlines, and compliance requirements.
Client & Attorney Support
- Schedule depositions, mediations and meetings.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel and court personnel.
- Draft routine correspondence.
- Draft pleadings, when required, for attorney review.
- Prioritize tasks and deadlines.
Administrative Duties
- Process incoming mail; maintain and organize digital files.
- Perform general office support, including handling phone calls.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Experience: 1–3+ years of litigation or insurance defense experience; familiarity with defense practice strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case‑management systems, and e‑filing procedures.
- Key Competencies: Strong writing, organization, multitasking, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of legal terminology, pleadings and digital document record organization.
- Understanding of litigation cycles and civil procedure rules.
- E‑filing – state and federal courts.
Work Environment
This role typically operates in a professional legal office setting or hybrid environment. Occasional overtime may be required during trial preparation or periods of high workload.
