Growing domestic and international gestational surrogacy and egg donation agency is looking for a PARALEGAL to play an integral role assisting our legal team in providing services for intended parents, surrogates, and egg donors throughout their journey. The position will allow person to draft contracts, review and analyze insurance contracts and policies, assist intended parents in establishing their legal parentage rights and learn and grow in an ever changing and niche field of law of assisted reproductive technology. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and an interest and/or experience in the field.
What you’ll do:
Draft contracts, reviews and analyzes insurance eligibility and policies.
Assists intended parents in establishing their legal parentage rights.
Conducts legal research, gathers facts, and retrieves information on surrogacy law.
Makes recommendations to attorneys and clients related to their parental journey.
Develops and maintains records system.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 1-3 years’ experience as a Paralegal
- Effective communicator who communicates information written and verbally clearly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where you can meet and exceed deadlines
- Ability to prioritize your day and pivot when urgent matters arise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
