
LITIGATION LEGAL SECRETARY – LOS ANGELES

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a full-time (37.5 hours per week), highly organized and proactive Litigation Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our Los Angeles office (Century City). The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and professional environment, be tech savvy, enjoy working as part of a team, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality work and exceptional client service. A hybrid arrangement option may be available after 90 days with four (4) days in office/one (1) day remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate attorney schedules, meetings, depositions, court appearances, travel, etc.
- Assist in preparation and finalizing legal documents by ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- File documents electronically with state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Coordinate and schedule couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses, and other essential services to ensure seamless support.
- Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic, and manage case calendars and deadlines.
- Ensure incoming and outgoing mail is processed according to office procedures and attorney preference.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as time entry, expense reporting, and billing.
- Complete and submit conflict check and new client matter forms.
- Maintain good public relations and diplomacy with clients while observing confidentiality of attorney-client relationship.
- Additional duties as assigned, including assisting other secretaries, as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of law firm litigation secretary or assistant experience
- Knowledge of federal and state court filing procedures including e-filing requirements
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with document management systems and time entry software
- Proven track record of reliable attendance and punctuality
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Superior attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong client focus
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and anticipate attorney needs
- Experience supporting a minimum of three attorneys including partner level attorneys
Salary range: $80,000 - $92,000
- $80,000 - $92,000
