Position Overview:<\/b>
<\/div> The Counsel will independently manage labor and employment cases from inception to resolution, provide employment law advice to clients, and support a range of employment\-related litigation and counseling matters.

What youâll do:<\/b>
<\/div> - Handle single\-plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage\-and\-hour, and reasonable accommodation claims.
<\/span><\/li> - Manage and advise on PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) cases.
<\/li> - Participate in class action litigation as needed.
<\/li> - Draft, review, and respond to initial pleadings and discovery requests.
<\/li> - Prepare, argue, and respond to motions, including dispositive and discovery motions.
<\/li> - Take and defend depositions, including those of plaintiffs and corporate witnesses.
<\/li> - Provide employment law counseling on federal and state regulations, policies, and best practices.
<\/li> - Manage cases independently, from start to finish, with minimal supervision.
<\/li> - Maintain and develop client relationships; a smaller portable book of business is advantageous but not required.

Requirements<\/h3> What youâll bring:<\/b>
<\/div> - Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
<\/span><\/li> - Licensed to practice law in the relevant state bar.
<\/li> - 9\-12 years of experience in employment law, with substantial litigation and counseling exposure.
<\/li> - Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, with an excellent academic record.
<\/li> - Proven ability to handle complex cases independently.
<\/li> <\/ul> Work environment & physical requirements:<\/b>
<\/div> - Standard office setting using typical office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and copiers.
<\/li> - Sedentary work primarily, involving sitting most of the time; occasional walking and standing required.
<\/li> - Ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds.
<\/li> - Close visual acuity required for reviewing documents, preparing analyses, and working extensively with computers.
