Position Summary
As a Senior Paralegal – Corporate at Oncor, you are responsible for supporting our Corporate Legal Department on a variety of matters while working collaboratively with other departments in a team-oriented environment. It is currently contemplated that, at least initially, the bulk of your work responsibilities will relate to real estate matters.
This position will be in-office and we are open to candidates being based in either of the locations listed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of real estate and other corporate transactions and related eminent domain litigation, including drafting and reviewing contracts, closing documents, title documents, eminent domain litigation-related filings and discovery, and assisting with the preparation of other documents related to such transactions.
- Coordinate and maintain real estate and other corporate transaction-related documents.
- Communicate with internal personnel and external parties, including outside counsel, court personnel, and other third parties, concerning real estate and other corporate transactions and related eminent domain litigation.
- Coordinate and track status of and activities related to real estate and other corporate transactions; maintain and update transaction tracking chart(s)/database(s).
- Research, analyze, and summarize information and material related to real estate and other corporate transactions and related eminent domain litigation.
- Work with internal and external attorneys to prepare for real estate and other corporate transaction-related meetings and proceedings in related eminent domain litigation.
- Maintain calendars; coordinate meetings and travel arrangements; complete expense reports.
- Oversee and manage the intake process for all documents (lawsuits, subpoenas, letters of representation, etc.) served via Oncor’s registered agent related to real estate and eminent domain matters.
- Calculate and calendar deadlines, schedule meetings, and process incoming mail and emails.
- Assist in the preparation and submitting of periodic status reports to Oncor’s internal stakeholders.
- Organize and maintain a filing system for management of records.
- Travel is required between the two locations listed and additional travel as needed within our service territory.
- Other duties as assigned when required.
Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Suite of office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint (PPT), and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at many different levels throughout the company and externally.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of paralegal experience in a well-established law firm and/or corporate legal department is required.
