Position Purpose
The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data and business metrics to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and business understanding. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying trends, creating financial models, and supporting business initiatives through data-driven analysis.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
· Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support business decisions.
· Develop and maintain financial models to forecast business performance.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed financial reports.
· Conduct variance analysis to understand deviations from budgets and forecasts.
· Support the budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate and timely data.
· Provide insights into financial performance and suggest areas for improvement.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
· Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and economic conditions affecting the business.
· Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analyses and reports.
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
· Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
· Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
· 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or a similar role.
