As our Sr. Counsel for the Americas, you'll be a key player in our legal operations, primarily focused on commercial transactions within the telecommunications industry. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, negotiating, redlining, and interpreting a wide range of customer sales agreements for our operations across North, Central, and South America.
- Serving as a trusted legal advisor, ensuring all agreements align with company policies, legal requirements, and business objectives.
- Collaborating closely with sales, finance, and other internal teams to facilitate seamless deal closures while mitigating risk.
- Managing multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactively identifying potential legal issues and providing practical, business-focused solutions.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with complex commercial transactions, with a strong preference for in-house experience within the telecommunications sector.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand our company's commercial objectives and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage a diverse workload with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to evolving business needs and priorities.
- Proficiency with Office 365 Suite, DocuSign, and experience with AI tools like Copilot and Gemini is a plus.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is an advantage given the scope of our operations across the Americas, but it is not necessary.
- Will need to have the ability to commute to our Norcross site three days per week.
