Key Areas of Responsibility
Service Desk
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding
- Assist with service desk tickets and issues on call duty as needed (5pm to 10pm one week a month)
- Support escalated security-related service desk tickets
Infrastructure
- Provision and manage virtual machines in the cloud, including operating systems and security patches
- Monitor and maintain system backup and recovery procedures with a focus on data security
- Assist with patch management processes across all systems
- Automate processes wherever possible
Security
- Monitor and investigate alerts from EDR systems (Carbon Black, Taegis) and other security tools
- Investigate and respond to phishing attempts and email security incidents
- Develop and implement company-wide security best practices and protocols
- Document security incidents, assess their impact, and recommend solutions
- Assist with documentation for security assessments and IT policies
- Lead security awareness training and help colleagues understand information security management
- At least 3 years of relevant IT experience
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and patch management
- Scripting or programming experience (PowerShell, Python) a plus
- Strong knowledge of information security principles and best practices
- Experience with EDR systems (preferably Carbon Black or similar)
- Experience with email security and phishing investigation
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities
- Understanding of security compliance requirements and frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in teams
- Strong customer service orientation
- Prioritization and time management capabilities

The applicable base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 per year. The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, locations, certifications, and education. In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
