We are currently seeking a Legal Clerk to join our team in our Bangor, PA office. This is a great opportunity to grow your career and expand your knowledge with paid training, hands-on support, and ongoing learning!

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Legal Clerk, you will act as an integral part of the Delinquent Department’s team. To be successful in the role, you must be a detail-oriented, organized professional with strong research and communication skills who can manage legal processes, handle sensitive account issues, and stay accurate under pressure. 


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage inquiries related to delinquent and legal accounts via phone, email, and fax
  • Research, update, and maintain accounts involving bankruptcy, liens, and legal actions
  • Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government offices
  • Monitor legal processes (e.g., sheriff sales, complaints) and ensure accurate recordkeeping
  • Respond to account issues, complaints, and perform routine account maintenance
  • Travel to and attend magistrate hearings on behalf of the company


DETAILS + WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Full-time schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Location: On-site in our Bangor, PA office
  • Initial training: ~4-6 months fully in office
  • Flexibility: After initial training, this role transitions to a hybrid schedule, with at least 2–3 days in the office each week and up to 5 days, depending on work load.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
  • 1 - 2 years of related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license & clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new systems
  • Situation analysis and problem-solving skills
