Duties This position is located under the Office of Intelligence Operations, Intelligence Liaison Section in District of Columbia, District of Columbia. The primary purpose of this position is responsible for the prevention, detection, and investigation of substantive and conspiracy type violations of laws administered and enforced by ATF. Performs the full range of expert level criminal investigative i.e. conducting complex investigations involving illegal and/or organized crime organizations. Monitors, coordinates, and supports field law enforcement operations by resolving jurisdictional questions and requests and by providing technical guidance on a wide variety of criminal investigative matters. Conducts long- and short-range strategic planning and researches and identifies current and possible future trends or patterns in major crime activities in areas including explosives, arson, and firearms. Prepares reports, papers, correspondence, speeches, and briefings concerning ATF's law enforcement efforts for use by ATF management. Salary- $120,579 - $156,755/year
