Job Purpose
In your role as a paralegal, you will be responsible for tasks related to law, legal document preparation, communication, research, and document review. You will be an integral part of the Legal Team providing support to our in-house counsel for contract review and property damage claims.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Works alongside in-house counsel to provide administrative and legal support
- Reviews contracts related to sales and bids for accuracy, completeness, and legality
- Processes property damage claims associated with varying lines of business including residential and commercial
- Takes Ownership over contract management lifecycle software
- Other projects and tasks as assigned
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate profile includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, Communications, or related field required
- Experience in Law and legal document preparation
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in research and document review
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team
- Knowledge of solid waste removal regulations is a plus but not required
