Litigation Legal Assistant Opportunity in Columbus!

Aspen Careers is partnering with a prestigious law firm to find a Legal Assistant to join their litigation team, with a specialized focus on workers’ compensation. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment, particularly in managing workers’ compensation claims, litigation filings, and client communications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys in the litigation area.
• Prepare, format, and file legal documents.
• Manage and maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines.
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, and meetings with clients, experts, and court personnel.
• Monitor and track workers’ compensation claims and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Open new client matters.
• Enter attorney time and process reimbursements.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all client and case interactions.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in litigation and workers’ compensation.
• Familiarity with state workers’ compensation procedures and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Balances team and individual responsibilities.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
